VenturePR supports Halloween

The Right Worshipful The Mayor of Worcester, Cllr Roger Berry, has given his support to a charity gig on Friday 26th October, 7.30pm at The Firefly in Worcester, and will also be in attendance.

The gig, in aid of Breast Cancer Care, has been organised by John James from Stamford Cakery and features some of the best in local and regional talent with performances from Adorn, Dale Hanson, SpaceBetween, Marie Claire Bereen and Harry Baldwin Jr.  Halloween fancy dress is optional.

Although the event is free entry a collection will be made on the night as well as a raffle with a selection of prizes such as a two course meal for 2 up to the value of £30 from the Slug and Lettuce in Worcester, cupcakes from Stamford Cakery and a set of vinyl records from Rise in the Crowngate shopping centre.

The raffle will be drawn at 10.30pm and all proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Care, and for those who can’t attend but who still want to make a donation to Breast Cancer Care this can be done by contacting John directly via thecakemanshow@ymail.com.

John James is a well known figure on the gig circuit in Worcester and runs his own bakery business Stamford Cakery, which provides a range of cupcakes and other sweet treats.

Event Organiser John James said: “Breast cancer is a huge problem and I wanted to organise a fun and lively evening of entertainment to celebrate Halloween while raising funds for Breast Cancer Care at the same time.

I also want to introduce people to music that they perhaps may not have heard before and promote new artists in the area.
