We specialise in computer-based automation and measurement solutions over a range of communication links including GPIB, RS232, Ethernet (TCP-IP), I2C, SPI, PXI, LXI, CAN and Profibus amongst others.

We can offer a complete Turnkey system design solution or get involved with your existing hardware to integrate a system to your specific requirements. Our vast experience allows us to reuse our existing applications to reduce development time and therefore reduce cost.

Hardware Design

With extensive skills within electronic, electrical and mechanical design we can provide a full design service for our customers from a single cable to a full systems test rig. Furthermore, using strong design for manufacture principles, our equipment can be fully supported by Austin Consultants or our clients with our design data packs. Design data packs consist of all the necessary manufacturing documentation such as General Assemblies, Wiring Lists, Parts Lists, Circuit diagrams to enable the equipment to be fully supported through its working life and even re-manufactured at some future point if needed.

We have a core of hardware design engineers with the capability to work across Analogue, Digital, RF, Embedded, FPGA and DSP as well as PCB design and assembly.

Training and Support

Austin Consultants offer customised training and support packages which can be tailored to each customer’s specific requirements and ability. We will happily work on-site with you and demonstrate techniques and tutorials to help your team gain a greater programming efficiency and increase their productivity.
We also have Certified LabVIEW Professional Instructors who are qualified to teach all kinds of National Instruments courses.

Mechanical Design

We offer a design service, from concept generation through to end product manufacture. Throughout the process, we provide integrated engineering working practices where feedback and Pugh analysis techniques are used to assist the progression of a project. Using our range of advanced 3D modelling software, any component can be modelled and assembled in 3D or drafted to the relevant standards.
